Manage your academic inform- ation centrally and systematically
Academic Management aims to accommodate information related to the teachers, students, courses and other related to the learning, and the major functionalities of Academic Management consist of Teacher Management, Student Management, Course Management and Resource Management.
Teacher management aims to register and maintain the information related to the teachers, the information consists of personal profile, qualifications, teaching programs, teaching activities records, work performance, etc.. The system centrally accommodates this information and allows authorized users to maintain the data.
Student management aims to register and maintain the information related to the students, the information consists of student identity information, enrollment details, user account, privileges, courses selected, learning objectives, learning tasks, learning activities, learning assessments, course works, etc.
Course management is a central storage of the registered courses provided by the system, and the system enables authorized users to take actions upon the courses Including add/edit majors (course categories), add/edit Training Providers, add/edit courses, share courses across catalogues, manage course catalogue display date range, manage course open enrolment date range, manage course retake restrictions, certificates of completion, sample major configured, course prerequisites and equivalencies, course updates and series and etc.
Resource management aims to manage all the other resources related the learning management system and supporting the learning. The functionalities consist of forward supplemental documents or URL links available to the learners, can be attached to courses, add/edit resource categories, sample resources included.
Help learners achieve real benefits in the learning
Learning Management is the management of the whole lifecycle of the learning journey which follows the Plan, Do, Check, Act methodology. It includes some major functionalities such as Leaning Planning, Course Selecting, On-line Learning and Learning Reports & Statistics.
Learning management is essential for all students, but particularly for distance learning students who are juggling study with work commitments. To be successful on your course, you need to be able to manage all of your commitments fairly. The system provides a smart learning planning calendar to help you. And the users can share the schedule with family and colleagues so everyone knows what your focus is for that fortnight.
Course selecting aims to enable enrolled students to view and select the target courses. The system provides user-friendly user interfaces for the student to easily get the information they would like to view and the system provides a course selecting tool which support course posting, course filtering, course query, on-line FAQ for advices, to help the student to match their interests with the proper courses.
Based on the learning plan and selected courses, the system will, follow the schedule, forward notifications to the student for reminding in the learning process. The system support abundant ways of on line learning such as virtual classrooms, webinars, on line FAQ, video/audio teaching, on-line testing, etc.
Learning Reports & Statistics
Learning reports & statistic enables to predefine templates for required reports & statistics which are able to automatically generate the reports and statistics on demand. The system also supports report exporting into PDF, excel, and subscriptions which are able to automatically send reports & statistics via emails.
Keep the learners on the track
Performance Assessment aims to apply abundant assessment methodologies and activities to evaluate if the learners are approaching the pre-defined learning objectives and are actually gaining the skills and competencies. It consists of Minimally Authentic Performance Assessment, Case Study Performance Assessment, Simulation Performance Assessment and Authentic Performance Management.
Minimally Authentic Performance Assessment
The system enables to require the students to answer questions or solve problems that reference realistic information or data, the questions or problems represent various aspects of a real-life experience, but no attempt is made to connect these bits and pieces into authentic responses to a complex situation.
Case Study Performance Assessment
The system enables to present a case study or scenario that requires learners to solve a complex real-world problem given the kind of tools, data and information that would be available in real-life setting.
Simulation Performance Assessment
The system enables to require learners to apply what they’ve learned in simulated work or personal life situations. Simulations that emphasize interpersonal aspects of a performance can, with reasonable efforts, be incorporated into an on-line course, though it’s desirable to avoid requiring on-line learners to come on site, on-line learners should not be limited to perform all the assessments on the internet, at their computers.
Authentic Performance Assessment
The system enables to require learners to perform required competencies in an authentic setting, for example, pilots are assessed on flying an airplane, speakers are assessed in speeches, and designers are accessed in designs developed fir actual clients. In some cases, learners can be expected to arrange their own authentic environment in which to demonstrate performance.
Reliable assurance in system operation
System Management aims to ensure the reliability of business operation and provide abundant functionalities and tools which enable authorized users, normally system administrator, to maintain the system for both functional supports and technical supports. The major functionalities/tools consist of Organization Management, System Configuration, Security Management and Privilege Control.
Organization Management enables authorized users to add, edit or delete groups, positions, roles or users according to the real situations. The Organization Management includes User Management, Role Management, Position Management, Group Management, etc.
The system configuration enables authorized users to perform the system settings and maintenance. The activities involve dictionary maintenance, parameter settings, data backup/restore, data integrity protection, organization management, etc.
Security Management covers, by using the advanced technologies, develops a unified, safe, stable and efficient security system that covers the networks, systems, applications, managements and etc. The entire information security consists of three elements, security policies, security technologies and security management.
Privilege Control aims to give a user the relevant privileges based on group, position and responsibility. The privileges can be inherited from the superior to the lower level in the two frames in organization structure. The privileges that a user has, except those distributed to user self directly, also include ones which are inherited from the positions and organization unit he/she belongs to, as well as from the roles he/he belongs to.
